Effective June 9, 2026
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of the LocalLeadSignal platform at localleadsignal.com and all associated services (collectively, the “Platform”). It is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service. Violation of this AUP is a material breach of the Terms and may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
This AUP applies to all users of the Platform, including operators, employees, and any third parties acting on a customer’s behalf.
2. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Platform to:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
- Publish false, misleading, defamatory, or fraudulent content
- Engage in deceptive marketing practices or make unsubstantiated claims about your services, qualifications, or outcomes
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, other accounts, or any underlying systems
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Platform
- Use the Platform to generate, manage, or publish content for businesses other than your own without written authorization from those businesses

3. Prohibited and Restricted Data
You may not submit to the Platform, in content prompts, questionnaires, photo or video uploads, support communications, connected accounts, or by any other means, any of the following categories of information:
Healthcare
- Patient records, medical charts, or clinical notes
- Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined under HIPAA, including patient names, dates of birth, contact details, diagnostic or treatment information

LocalLeadSignal may immediately delete or purge any content it suspects contains prohibited data, with or without notice, but assumes no obligation or duty of care to monitor, identify, or purge such data, and disclaims all liability for any downstream handling, exposure, or regulatory action resulting from your breach of this provision, except to the extent caused by LocalLeadSignal’s gross negligence or willful misconduct.
4. Photographs, Faces, and Generated Imagery
You may upload photographs and media, and use any imagery-generation or editing features, only where you hold all necessary rights, consents, and releases from every identifiable individual depicted (including patients, clients, customers, employees, and members of the public), and only in compliance with applicable right-of-publicity and biometric-privacy laws. You must not use any imagery feature to create deceptive, defamatory, or misleading depictions, or to misrepresent any individual. Any face-related flagging or convenience feature provided by the Platform does not transfer responsibility to LocalLeadSignal or constitute legal review.
5. Healthcare Marketing Content
For medical practices, physical therapy clinics, dental offices, and all other healthcare providers, content published through the Platform:
- Is for marketing purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, clinical guidance, diagnosis, or treatment recommendation
- Must not be used as a substitute for professional medical judgment or patient-clinician communication
- Must comply with FTC advertising guidelines and applicable state medical board advertising regulations
- Must not make unsubstantiated clinical claims about outcomes, safety, or efficacy
- Must be reviewed by you for compliance before publication, regardless of your publication settings (healthcare content is always held for your approval)
You acknowledge that AI-generated content can contain inaccuracies or hallucinations and that you are solely responsible for reviewing and approving all content. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold LocalLeadSignal harmless from any malpractice, regulatory, professional-misconduct, or deceptive-advertising claims resulting from content published via the Platform, including content published automatically under your publication settings, except to the extent caused by LocalLeadSignal’s gross negligence or willful misconduct. The customer’s licensed practitioner of record carries professional liability for all content published under their name.
Review responses: Where the Platform drafts responses to patient reviews, those drafts are a convenience only. Responding to a review can itself implicate HIPAA. You must review and approve each response before it is posted and must not confirm a patient relationship or disclose any clinical detail.
6. Legal Services Marketing Content
For law firms, solo practitioners, and other legal service providers, content published through the Platform:
- Is for marketing purposes only and does not constitute legal advice, legal representation, or the practice of law
- Does not create an attorney-client relationship between LocalLeadSignal and any party
- Must comply with your state bar association’s rules of professional conduct, including rules governing attorney advertising and unauthorized-practice-of-law (UPL) regulations (see, e.g., ABA Model Rules 7.1 through 7.5 and applicable state equivalents)
- Must not make unsubstantiated claims about outcomes, past results, or comparative quality
- Must include any disclaimers required by your jurisdiction (e.g., “Attorney Advertising,” “Past results do not guarantee future outcomes”); you are responsible for adding jurisdiction-required disclaimers before publication
You are solely responsible for ensuring that marketing content published under your name and firm complies with applicable professional-responsibility rules and state bar regulations.
7. Financial and Professional Services Marketing Content
For financial advisors, accountants, tax preparers, insurance producers, and other regulated professionals, content published through the Platform:
- Is for marketing purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, securities, insurance, or tax advice
- Must comply with applicable SEC, FINRA, state securities and insurance, and IRS (including Circular 230) advertising and conduct rules
- Must not make unsubstantiated claims about performance, returns, or outcomes, and must include any disclosures required by your regulator
You are solely responsible for ensuring that marketing content published under your name complies with applicable professional and regulatory rules.
8. Email and Messaging Marketing (CAN-SPAM / TCPA)
Email and any messaging content sent through the Platform must comply with the CAN-SPAM Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) where applicable, and applicable state laws, including:
- Accurate sender identification and a non-deceptive subject line
- Inclusion of a valid physical postal address for your business
- A clear and conspicuous unsubscribe mechanism, honored within ten (10) business days
- For any telephone or SMS outreach, valid prior consent as required by the TCPA and applicable state law
- No use of harvested or purchased contact lists for cold outreach without independent legal review
LocalLeadSignal provides templates and infrastructure but is not responsible for your compliance with email or messaging marketing law.
9. Content Quality and Accuracy
All content published through the Platform must:
- Accurately describe your business, services, hours, and location
- Be free of intentionally misleading claims about pricing, qualifications, or affiliations
- Reflect current business information; you must promptly notify LocalLeadSignal of material changes (e.g., closure, rebrand, change of ownership, suspension or loss of a professional license)
You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before approval. See Section 5.7 (AI-Generated Content Disclaimer) and Section 5.8 (Customer Review Requirement) of the Terms of Service.
10. Enforcement
LocalLeadSignal monitors the Platform for violations of this AUP through a combination of automated systems and manual review. We reserve the right to:
- Suspend or remove individual pieces of content that appear to violate this AUP
- Suspend your account pending investigation of a suspected violation
- Terminate your account immediately and without refund for material violations
- Cooperate with law enforcement or regulatory bodies investigating alleged violations
- Decline to publish content that we determine, in our reasonable discretion, would create legal or reputational risk for LocalLeadSignal or for you
Our decision not to act on any particular violation does not waive our right to act on subsequent or related violations.
11. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, whether by another LocalLeadSignal customer, by your own employees, or by any third party using your account, report it to contact@localleadsignal.com. Include enough detail for us to investigate (URL, content, dates, screenshots where applicable). We will not retaliate against good-faith reports of suspected violations.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. The current version is always available at localleadsignal.com/acceptable-use.
